Printmaking for Families with Dan Law – Saturday, September 9th, 2017

$5 - $20

Drop in printmaking for youth and families. This workshop is designed for beginners of all ages. Participants will have the opportunity to design and carve a printing block which they will use to create a small run of prints using the artist’s custom made 24″ intaglio press.

This class is drop in all day.
4 x 6 foam block – $15
4 x 6 lino block – $20
4 x 6 maple wood block – $30

INSTRUCTOR BIO

Dan Law is a full time professional artist living and working in Tofino BC. Dan studied visual arts in Victoria, BC, and received his Master of Arts degree from Regent College in 2013. Dan has been teaching fine art and running art, photography, carving, traditional arts, and numerous ‘contemporary’ puppetry, theatre and film workshops for youth since 1995. Dan and his wife Mollie have received several community grants in Vancouver, Victoria and Tofino for community printmaking workshops and collaborative printmaking projects. Dan also taught traditional bow and arrow making seminars for Lee Valley Tools from 2011 to early 2017.
