The Gallery Session – Sunday September 18, 2016

September 18, 2016 @ 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM

free

This session will provide a brief overview of the function and goals of a successful gallery and how they can benefit the artist. This will include what the gallery can offer artists and what the gallery in turns asks of the artist. The nature of the relationship should strive to be collaborative, productive, honest, and result in artistic and economic success for the artist and gallery.

Hosted by Rebecca Blanchard

Rebecca Blanchard has worked at the Stonington Gallery for 35 years, with 20 years as Co-director with Nancy Davenport. Prior to coming to Stonington, Becky was in development at The Seattle Art Museum and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She has a BS in English from Miami University, Oxford Ohio. Her belief is that good art galleries are the core to a city’s visual art community and cultural vibrancy. The exhibitions, programming, and staff at the Stonington Gallery are an integral part Seattle and the region.
