About this event

Introduction to Northwest Coast formline design — a foundational visual language used across many Indigenous cultures of the coast.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the basic elements of formline, including shape, flow, balance, and composition. Morgan will guide you through understanding ovoids, U-forms, and S-forms, and how they come together to create meaningful and structured designs.

This session offers a chance to slow down, observe, and begin working within this design system while gaining insight into its cultural context and significance.
