Painting & Drawing Drop-In with Qwaya Sam

  • Need a creative activity for the kids at the festival? Join Ahousaht artist Qwaya Sam at the family table for drawing and painting drop in fun. Qwaya is an accomplished Northwest Coast Artist who has worked with youth in schools in Port Alberni and Campbell River for many years.

 

Printmaking (Woodcut and Lino) Drop-In with Van Law

  • Participants will design and carve a 4” x 6” printing block which they will use to create a small run of prints. Van Law is an experienced printmaker.

 

Weaving Drop-In with Shy Watters and Liz George

  • Have you ever been curious about how cedar bark weaving was done? Visit the drop-in weavers tent and have the opportunity to try weaving for yourself. Weavers Shy Watters and Liz George will be actively plying their craft and demonstrating their process for all to see. Interested? If you're really interested then sign up for Mary Martin's introduction to weaving class on Sunday.
