About this event

Join Morgan Asoyuf for a hands-on workshop exploring fine regalia and textile work through a Northwest Coast design approach.

In this session, participants will work with pre-cut formline shapes and learn how to apply them through sewing techniques used in regalia and contemporary textile pieces. Morgan will guide you through process, placement, and attention to detail — sharing knowledge that connects design, material, and making.

This workshop is an opportunity to step into the process of creating wearable or textile-based art, while gaining insight into the care and intention behind regalia work.

Some basic sewing experience is helpful, but not required.

A few sewing machines will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer working on it.

All materials provided.

Limited participants
(to keep the experience personal and grounded)

Feel free to bring some snacks if you like — we’ll have beverages ready to keep you hydrated.

You can also see works by exhibiting artists at the Carving on the Edge Gallery at Naa’Waya’Sum Gardens.
